What a busy time this month has been! Between moving and the wheat harvest, it seems that there has been very little time to slow down. I am so thankful that Grammy and Grandpa were here to help us with the transition and all of the work that needed to be done! It seems that we put people to work when they come visit--so be warned :) It really is a working farm!
We were fortunate to have a few days in June that weren't too incredibly hot...so of course we were outside! Here are a few pics from the front yard!
As you can see, we had to put in a fence to corral our very busy little boy! He would just run and head into the next field if we would let him!
Harvest was very early this year and seemed to go pretty fast!
I just love seeing this on the trucks! I feel pretty proud/blessed to be a part of this family!
Here's Jarrett cutting the wheat!!
Wheat dust, wheat dust everywhere!
Of course Aaron is ready to get in on the action!
Here's Grammy and Grandpa showing the wheat to Aaron.
Even Grammy got in on the action this year and go to go for a ride with Jarrett! Aaron did NOT want to get down from the combine....so needless to say the pictures were not so great right after this!
One day, if we are fortunate enough we would like to build our own home on the farm. This is the tentative spot that we have picked out! It's the highest point in the county...which as you can see..isn't all that high! But that's Kansas! So thankful for a good harvest and that we get to be a part of it all!
