Christmas Part 1

So I had to break this Christmas into several posts. It was such a fun time with Aaron this year and we took a ton of pictures!

Here are a few from the first night we had the tree and the lights up. He LOVED it! It was so fun to see how excited he was about everything. Every morning when he would walk out into the living room, he would point to the tree and say "ight". So we would turn on the lights. He would then proceed to do this for the rest of the Christmas lights that we had around the house. It was so cute. It was like we couldn't start the day until the twinkle lights were all on! So fun!

So excited!!

This is his mischievous face :) We had to teach him to not touch the ornaments. He was sure tempted and he did give in a couple of times. But I would say overall he did a pretty good job.

Since this is our last official Christmas in Texas and our last Christmas in our first home, I had to get some pictures of the tree and our house.

Yay for Christmas time!!

December Days

Well if November was busy, then December was insane! I love the holidays. I really do. But it was quite a crazy month for us and I was glad to see January! With our house on the market and showings all of the time, it makes getting our of the door even harder. I've also been subbing more and that just throws another kink into our schedule. We also went to Kansas the week before Christmas! So there was a lot going on, and unfortunately we didn't take a lot of non-Christmas pics! Here's a few--just for the scrapbook.

Mommy and Aaron on New Year's Eve day. We had a less than glamorous New Year's, as Aaron was super sick that afternoon/night. Poor baby.

Aaron is in love with Chick-Fila (as we all are). He loves the food and more importantly the kids play area!

Since Aaron is 3ft tall now, he can get into a lot of stuff! Including our fridge :) He loves to try to open and close the doors..and look for treasures.

Aaron loves to eat! This was his first real attempt at spaghetti. He is getting better and better with using his fork. The spaghetti was tough, but the meatballs and green beans were easier!

Popsicle Time!!
There's always room for a popsicle! This is Aaron's "cold" face...he says "co" and it's pretty cute!

All of November--In one little post :)

November was a busy time for our family. It was football season, we bought a new car, we put our house on the market, he were preparing for Christmas and so much more. Here are some of the pics we managed to take during this busy time.

Yes that's a recliner..made just for Aaron. Of course my parents thought he needed to have his own chair (that matches their lazy boys) at their house. Pretty cute.

He found the Halloween bowl in a cabinet and it's been he's favorite thing to play with this month.

For some reason Aaron thought it was great to put the bowl on his head. He ran into a lot of things...but it was hilarious. Such a silly little man.

Lots of smiles in the morning! Ready for the day!!

Our sweet friend Smith turned 2 this month! He had a very special Baylor Bears birthday party and we were so thrilled to celebrate with him!
Here's Aaron, Bode, Smith, Caroline and Matthew. I love that they could potentially all be at Baylor at the sametime one day...what are the odds??

Aaron got to bring a balloon from the party home with him! Yay for birthday parties!!

Football and Fun

Football is pretty big in our family! Jarrett was the head coach of 7th grade this year and it was so fun to take Aaron to a few of his games. He had fun listening to the crowd and seeing the cheerleaders yell! We don't think he could really see the game, but he seemed to have fun!

 Jarrett's little team :)

 Coach Schmidt hard at work!

As I've mentioned before, this child LOVES to be outside. He usually protests quite a bit when it's time to go back inside. We had some beautiful Fall weather this year and tried to let Aaron run around outside as much as he could. He doesn't need a lot to entertain him (as you can see in the pics).

Halloween 2011

So last year we didn't dress Aaron up for Halloween. He was so little and we didn't think anything of it. So this year I wanted to be sure he had fun and dressed up. We went with a pumpkin and thought it would be easy enough. And it was, except for the hat. This boy does not like hats of any kind. Jarett had a football game on Halloween, so my parents came over and helped us pass out candy. We hung out on the front portch and Aaron had so much seeing all of the other big kids come over.

Aaron the Pumpkin

He was not too sure about this hat--at all! (in all honesty, it did look kind of girly)

He kept the hat on longer than we expected!

My Mom took him down the side walk just a little bit. We didn't go door-to-door this year. He can't really eat candy and we sure didn't need it in our house :) Maybe next year we'll take him!

The Petting Zoo

I have the BEST Mom in the world. And because she's an amazing Mom, she's an even better Grammy. She has fun ideas and since she retired in September, we have had the best time hanging out! In October, she read about a petting zoo that was happening near where we live. So of course we had to take Aaron to see all of the animals! He had fun exploring and petting the furry little friends!

Checking out a baby goat...

Aaron did not like being in his stroller, so we let him free....and he took off!
My sweet Mom chased after him...pretty good for a Grammy!

Seeing the baby pigs.

And the baby cows.

They got to feed a llama...kind of sticky :)

What a fun day at the petting zoo! Thanks Grammy for a wonderful time!

Random October Pics

One day in October, around snack time, I decided to get a few pics of Aaron.  I love how they progress from not too sure, to smile, to crazy fun, to silly :) Here they are...
