Baby's First Christmas

I love Christmas time. I love our house at Christmas and I felt so blessed this year to share this time with Aaron. Even though he didn't really know what was going on, we still wanted to begin a few family traditions with him.
Our tree....
Our family stockings...

The house all lit up!

Presents under the tree..
On Christmas morning, after Aaron had his morning bottle, we opened presents. Aaron still wasn't sitting up on his own yet...so thank goodness for his bumpo chair. We tried to get him to smile (he's usually so happy in the mornings), but it didn't quite work out.

We helped him open his presents from us!

All little boys in Texas must have a Dallas Cowboys book...you've got to start them early!! (even though Aaron doesn't look too thrilled)

Playing with his new toy

He also got a little "Jesus loves me" bear. This is still in his crib with him at nap time and he loves to cuddle/chew his little buddy.

Aaron's big present...

He was actually able to pull some of the paper!!

Aaron surrounded by all of his Christmas gifts. He got other gifts from the grandparents later on Christmas day, but we were so busy we didn't take any pictures! In fact, we had no family pictures at all from Christmas!! Not my best Mom moment! I will remember next year for sure!

We think Aaron had a great first Christmas! We loved sharing this with him. Jarrett and I both agreed that this year the birth and gift of Jesus had so much more meaning to us. It's amazing how everything has changed (in the best possible way) because of one precious baby boy!!
